Taking the High (Def) Road...

Timing is everything.  Technology changes so rapidly that it's difficult to comprehend, much less keep step.  The entire landscape of HIGH DEFINITION TELEVISION has been an uncertain one.  Early adopters of the technology have found themselves on the wrong road.  We have taken a more pragmatic approach.  Not so much a "Build it and they will come" but rather a "Give them what they want when they want it".

It's with great pride that we at Turning Point Media announce our migration to HIGH DEFINITION as well as continued support of Standard Definition video for our clients.

What does it all mean?

Even though the delivery system of HIGH DEFINITION images is still not complete, the images we put through the existing system will be noticeably clearer and sharper.  And with the true 24p technology associated with Hi DEF, we will be able to give you an image that rivals film (at a fraction of the production cost).  And as the delivery system, consisting of commercial insertion equipment and the roll out of High Definition DVD players continues to develop, our images will continue to keep pace with the newest technology.

We welcome the opportunity to share our findings with you, and hope to bring this new technology to your project in 2008.

We have always been involved in the pursuit of helping business communicate more effectively.  Internally...externally...marketing...public relations...training.  As the media delivery landscape continues to evolve, our mission is finding even more effective ways to leverage our clients' communications resources.
We'll be sharing new stories to give you ideas how we can make electronic media work for you...

Penn Iron Works

Penn Iron Works started in business in 1915 as a foundry and entered weldment fabrication about 60 years ago. The company’s quality weldments are now in use around the globe.
Marketing and trade show applications was the need we were fulfilling with the 4-minute video we produced.  In only a half day shoot, we were able to capture the grand scale of both their operation and the products they produce.  Watch the video...

Berks Economic Partnership

The Berks Economic Partnership (BEP) is the lead marketing agency and primary point of contact for all economic development inquiries related to the Greater Reading and Berks County area. BEP coordinates and works with other economic development agencies to provide a single voice in helping to retain, attract, promote and grow economic development in a collaborative and unified manner.
Our goal was two-fold.  We were attempting to bolster local self-image to the community at large.  By creating a more positive image at home, outside business interests will be welcomed more readily.

A preliminary video showcasing some of the more recent developments was showcased to the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

A second version of the video will be used and sent to site selectors to give them a sense of the community's character along with the statistical information normally provided.

Caron Treatment Centers

Over the last ten years we have worked with Caron Foundation to help them communicate both internally and externally.  Our work has taken us as far as Chicago, San Diego  and Atlanta.  The work has taken the forms of capital campaigns, marketing, public relations and education.  Our latest production is used in the Berks County Capital Campaign. This campaign is directed toward expansion of their adolescent treatment facilities in Wernersville.  For more information, please visit their website.

RiverPlace Development Corporation

RiverPlace on the Schuylkill is a community-based initiative inspired by its mission: To use the power of the River as a catalyst to unite communities and foster economic development.
This is our second year working on this project.  By the very nature of the project, it is out-of-date almost as quickly as it is finished.  For that reason, we are under contract to make regular changes to the video, releasing new versions on a regular basis. Watch the video...

NEW FOR THIS YEAR:
We have produced a 30 second PSA as an overview to the project.  This message follows the same format as the City of Reading PSA's of several years ago.  Comcast Spotlight will be talking with local businesses to garner support for this message.  The message will have a five-second slate at the end allowing the sponsor to put their logo and sponsorship message on the PSA.  Click the image above to see a preview.  For sponsorship opportunities, call Comcast Spotlight at 610-375-1100.
